FREE First Aid for Year 6 classes

Over the past year we have noticed a growing number of storys making the news where young children have literally saved a family member. Whether administering First Aid or alerting the emergency services these children acted bravely despite the likleyhood of being terrified.

We feel that children should have at least a basic idea of what to do in an emergency, even if that is just learning the recovery position or being confident enough to ring 999.

After a short discussion we decided that we would like to offer FREE basic First Aid training to Year 6 pupils in local Primary Schools. We would like to give something to our local community as well as teaching the next generation that learning First Aid doesn't have to be a boring subject.

We do not recieve funding for these course, or payment, so spaces are limited to what we are able to fit in however we will do our upmost to get you a date which is suitable.

We will be covering Primary schools within a 25 mile radius of Billingford (NR20). If you know of a school that may be interested in taking up this opportunity then please pass on our details. (which are below)

We have already taught to a number of pupils at schools including: Stibbard All Saints, St Edmunds Primary School, Bawdeswell Primary School and many more. We also provide the same first aid to brownies and Scouts!

" The year 6 children enjoyed the session very much. It was pitched well for the 11 year

olds and consequently assessed easily. Overall the children were engaged and focussed - the games and competition, reinforced the learning"

Stibbard All Saints added a blog on the training which they recieved:

"On behalf of the 1st Feltwell Brownies a big thank you for visiting us this week. Excellent night was had by all."
